Une journée plus que fantastique

I week ago I had the enormous pleasure of attending a chamber music concert where the soloists of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Barenboim, made a superb performance of Boulez's Dérive II. Although it is a complex piece, it absolutely fascinated me.
After almost two hours of such magnificent music, I was beyond elated. I stumbled my way out, leaned my back against one of the doors, almost without realising, and lit a cigarette. I noticed as the dense crowd quickly started to disseminate, but didn't attempt to move. A few moments later, the soloists hurried out. Luckily, I got to meet them all. Even Michael Barenboim, the intensely expressive violinist and concertmaster of the WEDO, to whom I fervently thanked. It was a huge honour. It truly was..
And I really look forward to seeing them all again.

Que excelente, disfrutar de uno de los placeres más bellos de la vida y luego poder expresar un poquito de gratitud, porque se que escapa a las palabras lo que podamos llegar a decir, a quienes nos deleitaron un buen rato :)
